Our Premium Organic Matcha comes from the renowned tea-growing region of Uji, Japan, an area celebrated for producing some of the world's finest matcha.
Made from younger, more tender tea leaves, this grade offers a noticeably smoother, sweeter flavour and a vibrant emerald-green colour compared with lower-grade matcha. Its balanced character makes it ideal for traditional preparation, whether you prefer a delicate usucha (thin matcha) or a richer koicha (thick matcha).
Unlike many culinary-grade matchas, this tea is enjoyable on its own, delivering a smooth, grassy sweetness with minimal bitterness and a lingering umami finish.
Storage
Matcha is highly sensitive to heat, light and air, and will gradually lose its vibrant colour and freshness if stored incorrectly. To maintain optimum quality, store your matcha in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer. If this isn't possible, keep it in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight.
Caffeine Content
Matcha provides a gentle, sustained energy release thanks to its unique combination of caffeine and naturally occurring L-theanine.
A typical 1g serving contains approximately 34mg of caffeine, making it an excellent alternative to coffee for those seeking focus and alertness without the sudden peaks and crashes often associated with other caffeinated drinks.
