Storage
Matcha is highly sensitive to heat, light and air. Exposure to these elements causes oxidation, resulting in a loss of freshness, flavour and colour.
For best results, store your matcha in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer. If refrigeration is not possible, keep it in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. For cafés and hospitality venues, we recommend storing matcha away from coffee beans and espresso machines, as it can absorb surrounding aromas.
