Collection: Myanmar

Myanmar, formerly known as Burma, is one of the world's few native tea-growing regions. For nearly 50 years, military rule, ongoing civil war, and isolation from the West kept Burmese tea largely hidden from the world. However, since the end of military dictatorship in 2011, Myanmar has opened its doors to foreign investment, and we're proud to be among the first UK companies to offer this unique tea.

Our tea comes from a small, woman-owned plantation in Mogok, a city renowned for its ruby and gem mining, located 200 kilometers north of Mandalay. This plantation includes 100 acres of old tea plants, with 80 acres of newly planted tea added in recent years. Despite its modest size, the Mogok plantation produces 25 kg of tea each month, all meticulously handcrafted. Experience the rare and exceptional flavors of Myanmar's tea, cultivated in a region known for its rich history and precious gemstones.
